Netflix International Launch
Netflix international launch have just happen and the streaming giant that was only available to a selected region can now be accessed from virtually anywhere in the world on exception to China and it’s provinces due to strict censorship of western contents.

Netflix is now available on almost all of the countries world wide except on China due to censorship
CEO Reed Hastings made the announcement at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and a few hours later, the giant streaming video slowly gets unlocked on different region across the globe.
“With this launch, consumers around the world — from Singapore to St. Petersburg, from San Francisco to Sao Paulo — will be able to enjoy TV shows and movies simultaneously — no more waiting,” said Hastings. “With the help of the Internet, we are putting power in consumers’ hands to watch whenever, wherever and on whatever device”.
Subscriber should expect to have different contents per region and this is due to licensing agreements with copyright holders and media owners. The launch have presumably caused an increase in Netflix’s value by around 6%.
What will happen in the future is yet uncertain but VPN providers surely was the one that gets a major hit from this move. Most VPN providers put advertise their services as the most efficient way to overcome region locks when accessing Netflix (I was also accessing Netflix via my personal VPN on my cloud servers) and now that Netflix is accessible anywhere, there are no more reason to subscribed to a VPN service.
